A bold expression of contemporary architecture, this residence explores the interplay of solid massing, perforation, and natural textures to create a façade that is both visually striking and climatically responsive. The design is anchored by a dominant vertical brick volume, acting as a central spine that gives the elevation a strong sense of proportion and hierarchy.

The extensive use of exposed brick not only adds warmth and timeless character but also contrasts beautifully with the smooth plastered surfaces, creating a balanced material palette. Carefully integrated jaali (perforated brick screens) serve both aesthetic and functional purposes—filtering natural light, enhancing ventilation, and adding a layer of privacy without compromising openness.

A prominent feature of the façade is the vertically framed jaali panel at the entrance axis, subtly highlighting the entry while maintaining a sense of intrigue. The recessed planes and projections throughout the elevation generate depth, breaking the monotony and creating dynamic shadow patterns throughout the day.

The cantilevered box element on the right introduces a modern sculptural quality, appearing to float while housing fenestrations that are deliberately minimal and geometric. The small, strategically placed windows with deep reveals add to the façade’s play of light and shadow, while ensuring thermal efficiency.

On the left, an open transition space beneath the projecting volume creates a semi-covered zone, enhancing spatial layering from exterior to interior. The angular support element adds a contemporary structural expression, making the design both functional and visually engaging.

The terrace edge is softened with linear planters, integrating greenery into the built form and bringing a refreshing contrast to the earthy tones of brick. This green layer also contributes to passive cooling and enhances the overall livability of the space.

Overall, the design reflects a thoughtful balance between modern aesthetics and traditional elements, where material honesty, climatic responsiveness, and geometric clarity come together to define a distinctive architectural identity.
